Winter continues the season
Cruel is the cold of night
Even more so
During the day.
Layers of clothing
And yet easily
Penetrated by the
Bitter cold.
Glimmer of hope
Sunshine appears
As birds commence
In chorus
Surely Spring
Is on its way?
